INTAFLEX Rubber Expansion joints or Rubber Bellows are a cost-effective solution for many demanding industrial applications such as petrochemical, power generation, marine services, water treatment, mining, industrial process piping, and heating/ventilation systems.

Rubber joints, designed to alleviate piping stress, absorb pipe misalignment, handle movement, dampen noise, and vibration reduction, all function over a relatively short face-to-face measurement.

We can supply a comprehensive range of expansion joints from single arch, twin, wide arch, threaded, and reducing size. 

 

The end connections can be threaded but are commonly flanged. Majority of which are readily available off the shelf in plated steel and SS316 material. 

 

Our readily stocked flanged drillings include Table E/D, ANSI 150, ANSI 300, and DIN 16. 

 

The rubber element or membranes are available in EPDM, Neoprene, Nitrile (BUNA N), Butyl, Hypalon, Viton, and PTFE lined.

Uses For Our Rubber Expansion Joints

Rubber Expansion Joints for Water Treatment Plants – (NSW water corporation) where rubber expansion joints are used across numerous water treatment plants in NSW to protect water mains from breakage due to thermal expansion and contraction.

Rubber Expansion Joints (rotary joints) are used on gas booster compressor stations for the conveyance of off-gas from separate gas generation units that operate at pressures up to 4,000 kPa.

Rubber Expansion Joints for Steel Mills – For use in various furnaces in steel mills where rubber expansion joints are used to connect furnace headers together.Rubber Expansion Joints for Steel Mills – where rotary joint is use in continuous casting of steel when the cooling water line needs to be disconnected on breaks and reconnected at a later time.

Rubber Expansion Joints (piston type) where air is transferred through large pressurised fans. They are used to convey the air from one location to another with pressure differentials of up to 400kPa and total lengths over 20 metres.
